Class 1 and 2 had a great time this week performing their Christmas play , called ‘Toby’s Christmas Drum’. I’m sure you will agree the children did a fantastic job and we are super proud of all of them. Enjoy!
Class 1’s Autumn Walk
This afternoon we went to Gorse Hill Park to look for signs of Autumn. We looked for leaves, conkers, pine cones, trees, and squirrels and we found lots of signs that autumn has arrived. We found leaves in lots of different shapes, sizes and colours.
Making bread
When arrived at school this morning we’d had a visit from The Little Red Hen. He left a terrible mess! He asked us to help him make some bread. Luckily he left us some ingredients and the equipment we needed.
We had great fun making the bread and even more fun tasting it!
Autumn Celebration Day!
The children in reception had their Autumn celebration today. We had so much fun! We learnt all about Bonfire Night and had fun making bonfire pictures and fireworks. We also made chocolate witches hat, we did lots of dancing and donut bobbing and finished the day off with a movie and popcorn.
CLASS 1 ARE STARS!
I would like to share some of the fabulous home learning that has been going on in Class 1. The children have worked so hard practicing their numbers, writing words and letters, telling stories and carrying out Science experiments!
Take a look, you will be impressed!
Oscar practiced and retold the story of The Noisy House, didn’t he do well?
We did RWI Phonics every day and practised making new words.
We used tens frames to make numbers up to 10.
We did a science experiment to find insoluble and soluble materials.
And we did another science experiment with bicarbonate of soda, vinegar and washing up liquid to make a bubbling potion!
WELL DONE CLASS 1!

Is it ok to make the wrong choice every now and then?
When have you made some great choices?
Think about a time you didn’t make a good choice, what happened? What would you do differently next time?
