Can you write the number under each amount of your sorting? If we added them altogether what would the total be? Can you write the new total number? i.e. if you had 5 spoons on one side and 3 forks on the other can you write 5 under the spoons and 3 under the forks? Our new total would be 8… can you write number 8?
